Blackberry Cheatsheet (or quick reference sheet)
I finally got a Blackberry 8700g (T-Mobile) and I am pleased to see that a lot of the built-in shortcuts from the old RIM iPagers are still in force.
Here are some tips to using your blackberry effectively:
- To select a bunch of emails, hold CAP while scrolling.
- To find the oldest unread email, press U in the Messages window
- To find the next day, press N in the Messages window
- To find the previous day, press P in the Messages window
- To reply to an email, just press R in the Messages window (no need to open).
- To forward an email, just press F in the Messages window
- To delete all emails from a given date and older, select the date then click the menu button to perform the deletion
- To go to the top, press T in the Messages window
- Likewise, to go to the bottom, press B in the Messages window
- To delete a message, just press the DEL key in the Messages window
Capitalization is easy. Simply hold a key down and it automatically goes to caps (no need to use the shift key).
You already know how to scroll up and down but side to side is easy too – just hold the ALT key while scrolling.
